Begin Your Book Power Hour

Got a book idea you LOVE, but you don't know how to start writing?

Maybe one or more of these scenarios sound familiar right now:

  • You're struggling to figure out out how to turn that great book or story idea into words on the page.
  • You know WHY you want to write this book, but you doubt yourself because writing is new to you.
  • You've convinced yourself that because so many books have been written about the same topic, you don't have anything valuable to add to the conversation.
  • You're not sure of how to structure or organize the book, which is stalling your forward progress.

Then I've got a one-time coaching and brainstorming session that's exactly what you need! In fact, by the end of this session, you may even find that you've begun writing your book.

Begin Your Book Power Hour
For Fiction, Memoir, and Nonfiction Writers

US $349, one-time payment when you schedule

This is a 90-minute (2 hours maximum, if needed) Zoom call where you and I will discuss your book idea and develop the clarity, organization, and confidence you need to start writing. Using Google Docs to access the brainstorming and writing exercises in my Begin Your Book worksheet, we'll do the following together:

  • Clarify what your book is about and why you want to write it
  • Identify your target audience and the experience you want them to have when reading your book
  • Establish the personal and/or professional stakes of writing your book (i.e., what may happen if you do or DON'T write it)
  • Create a schedule and/or timeframe for writing your book
  • Organize your book's major points into sections, chapters, scenes, etc., depending on what you're planning to write
  • Overcome any fears, doubts, or imposter syndrome you're experiencing so you can get out of your own way and write

You'll also receive a copy of the Begin Your Book worksheet and related notes after the session ends. That way, you can pick up where we left off, plug your writing schedule into your calendar, and continue writing your book.

And here's the cool part: The Begin Your Book Power Hour works for both fiction and nonfiction book ideas! The questions will vary depending on the genre you plan to write in. But no matter if you want to write a swashbuckling fantasy novel, a character-driven YA story, a memoir based on your personal experiences, or a self-help book connected to your business, this one-time coaching session can work for you. All you need is a book idea, the drive to finally get it onto the page, and the willingness to ask for an expert's help.

Sounds like the perfect jumpstart for your book-writing journey, right?

Then let's schedule your Begin Your Book Power Hour now.

Let's Do This

"Do I Really Need Help Beginning My Book? Couldn't I Do This on My Own?"

Yes, you could start this process on your own. But that's the first place where writers can get stuck. Maybe they feel intimidated by how much work is involved and avoid taking time to organize their thoughts. Or maybe they don't feel qualified enough to executive their book idea, even though they truly have the passion, expertise, and writing skills to do it. Or maybe it's a combination of both obstacles.

That's the point of the Begin Your Book Power Hour. With a book coach's knowledge and support, you’ll see the value and soundness of your book idea, discover why it matters to your audience AND to you, and develop a clear path forward on how to write it. And by the end of the session, you'll also have the confidence to know that you CAN write it.

Yes, writing a book is a hard work. But you can do it. And I want to help you make that happen. Let's embark on those first few steps together so you can feel more organized, clear, and sure of yourself as you move forward with your book.
